Experience Directed by Manuel Simons
The Bluest Eye educational experience takes students on an interactive journey exploring the theme of self-worth that is so beautifully examined in this Pulitzer Prize winning novel about 11-year old, Pecola Breedlove. The 90-minute workshop weaves one-woman performance of excerpts with student-centered discussions and theatrical activities, empowering students to make “text to self” and “text to world” connections and express their own perspectives on the critical issues addressed in this American Classic.
