“The Bluest Eye” educational experience takes students on an interactive journey exploring the theme self-worth that is so beautifully examined in this Pulitzer Prize winning novel about 11-year old, Pecola Breedlove. During workshop one-woman performance excerpts from the text will be interwoven with discussions and theatrical activities, empowering students to make “text to self” and “text to world” connections with this American Classic.

This Literature to Life presentation of The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison is made by special arrangement with The American Place Theatre.
