About Adrian Younge
A self-taught musician and recording engineer, Younge has dedicated his life to the study of classic soul music. Entertainment lawyer by trade and founder of record label, Linear Labs Records, a label that releases music only recorded to analog tape with no digital plug-ins, Younge follows in the path of the analog masters of the past. With this retro-futurist approach at its core, the label looks back to go forward—releasing timeless music to a new generation of listeners. Recent releases include Soul of Mischief’s sixth studio album, There Is Only Now;  Wu-Tang Clan’s Ghostface Killah’s Twelve Reasons To Die and Venice Dawn’s Something About April. Future releases include collaborations with A Tribe Called Quest’s Ali Shaheed Muhammed, Raphael Saadiq, and Harlem Stage’s Uptown Nights’ featured artists BILAL. Younge also produced the ground-breaking record, Adrian Younge Presents the Delfonics on Wax Poetics Records.
