The Gatehouse, a historic and state-of-the-art multi-purpose venue, is equipped with some of the most sophisticated lighting, theatrical equipment and technology available today.

The Gatehouse

A flexible designed space provides a 2,990 square foot open performance area, with a full grid for hanging lights and most scenery. This theater has a maximum capacity of 192 (including wheelchair accessible locations) with flexible seating configurations that can be tailored to production needs. The control booth allows for creative usage of lighting and sound. This space is ideal for performances, lectures, cocktail receptions, fundraising events and photo and film shoots.

Marian Anderson Theater

A proscenium designed space features a stage measuring 40' x 40'. It provides the perfect setting for any fully-staged production. This space seats up to 630 within its orchestra and balcony with an orchestra pit that can comfortably accommodate up to 50 musicians. The production facilities include digital lighting systems, film projection equipment and sound technology.

Theater B

A black box designed space provides a 63' x 62' open performance area, with a full grid for hanging lights and scenery. The theater has a capacity of 250 with flexible seating configurations that can be tailored to production needs. The control booth allows for creative usage of lighting and sound. This dramatic space, adjacent to the Marian Anderson Theater, is also ideal for pre-and post-performance receptions.
