This program is supported, in part by public funds from the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, in partnership with the New York City Council, The Office of New York City Council Member MARK LEVINE, and the CULTURAL IMMIGRANT INITIATIVE.

Harlem Stage and Repertorio Español are pleased to present a limited-time, free presentation of Federico García Lorca’s, La Casa de Bernarda Alba.

The play is a tragedy set in 1930s Spain and will be presented in Spanish with English subtitles.

La Casa de Bernarda Alba was the last play written by Federico García Lorca before his assassination in 1936. While his remains were never found, his works and words live on. Harlem Stage and Repertorio Español are pleased to premiere La Casa de Bernarda Alba on June 5, Lorca’s birthday.
