SOLD OUT! Uptown Nights: Vuyo Sotashe & Chris Pattishall

  • Harlem Stage 150 Convent Avenue New York United States (map)

Our Uptown Nights series continues with a highly anticipated collaboration between New York, by way of South Africa, jazz vocalist Vuyo Sotashe and GRAMMY-nominated jazz pianist Chris Pattishall, who join forces for a not-to-be-missed evening of music at Harlem Stage.

In this special duo presentation, Sotashe’s soulful vocals, described as “a bright tenor that can easily spring from sonorous depths to the full-bodied top of his impressive range(The Atlantic Journal-Constitution), perfectly infuse with Pattishall’s “desire to push at the harmonic borders” (JazzTimes), creating a sensual vulnerability and intimacy. In a set that ranges from the Great American Songbook to South African Xhosa hymns to Stevie Wonder, Sotashe and Pattishall display their range as musicians, and artists as memory-keepers.

BEFORE YOU PURCHASE YOUR TICKET, please know that you must show proof of full Covid-19 vaccination, having completed the vaccination series at least 14 days prior to the performance date. Masks are required. Learn More about our safety protocols.
