E-Moves Festival 2026 Black Men in Dance

In its second year, Harlem Stage’s Black Men in Dance series returns with a powerful evening of movement and conversation. Curated by distinguished dance educator and artist, Ronald K. Alexander and American Ballet Theatre principal dancer, Calvin Royal III, the evening features a panel with esteemed dance artists Robert Battle, Donald Byrd, and Lil’ Buck with a performance of The Swan by Lil Buck, a groundbreaking artist who fuses hip hop dance and classical dance forms that challenge perceptions of “high art.” Black Men in Dance: The Past in Our Bodies.
