Ahead of its premiere on July 5 at Lincoln Center, Tamar-kali discusses the inspiration behind Sea Island Symphony: Red Rice Cotton and Indigo, her orchestral love letter to her roots in conversation with artists who share the legacy, land stewardship and language of the Gullah Geechee Cultural Heritage Corridor.
