Brianna Thomas and her band Fa-La-La-La Funk! will bring the funk to the classic holiday tunes we know and love with her blend of jazz, R&B, and gospel. The concert will be peppered with songs from Brianna’s eagerly anticipated sophomore album, Everybody Knows. 

Camae Ayewa A.K.A. Moor Mother and Rasheedah Phillips A.K.A. Black Quantum Futurist will weave quantum physics, afrofuturism, and Afrodiasporic concepts of time, ritual, text, and sound that present innovative thoughts and music. Nona Hendryx A.K.A. ‘Cyboracle’ will host a conversation with Black Quantum Futurist, Moor Mother and perform.

Actor/Playwright/ Storyteller, Daniel Carlton, creates a world from archival historical invitations to dramatize Harlem history from the 1920’s–1960’s using the settings of the various parties. The evening concludes with a dance party featuring Harlem’s own DJ Nessdigital spinning classic jazz and soul from Bebop to Hip Hop, Soul and Funk. In our 2nd annual Pride program we give voice to the unique experiences of Southern Black Gay Men. E. Patrick Johnson will discuss his collection of oral histories for his book, “Sweet Tea.” Then the Illustrious Blacks, aka ManchildBlack and Monstah Black, bring their ethereal vocals, celestial sonics and earthly musical messages from the cosmos in a gravity defying performance and DJ set.

Celebrate the 7th Annual National Chamber Music Month with Chamber Music America, featuring the music of jazz drummer and bandleader, Kendrick Scott, “blessed with great feel, technical prowess and impeccable taste” (The San Diego Union-Tribune), who will be joined by his ensemble, Oracle and will also include new contemporary works performed by the Attacca Quartet

At our Annual Gala we will be celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Harlem Renaissance with Disrupters: Then, Now and in the Future. The evening will feature performances and presentations by the ground breaking artists for which we are known, a dinner, and an awards ceremony. We encourage guests to come in 1920s attire!
