Nona Hendryx curates a two-part program in a culmination of her leadership as Artistic Director of our yearlong celebration of Afrofuturism. A doorway to vibrant representations of Blackness for writers and filmmakers looking to throw off the shackles of stereotypes, projected racialism and obsolete limitations, Afrofuturist literature and films are conduits to reimagining Black identity.

Part I - 12/7 - “Mothers of Invention” is an exploration and celebration where host Nona Hendryx, as her alter ego the Cyboracle, investigates the feminine aspects of Afrofuturism with artists and activists Liza Jessie Peterson and Moor Mother.
